ACCESS. INCLUSION. ENGAGEMENT.
These are three values that employees gain through Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). YMCA staff and volunteers are our most valuable assets in our efforts to strengthen communities. By creating supportive and inclusive spaces within our organization for staff to connect, learn, and grow, we empower them to make the Y a place where all segments of society feel welcome and included. ERGs provide opportunities for people at all professional levels and backgrounds to build skills to engage underserved communities, build bridges between communities, network, share knowledge and experiences, inform strategic decisions, and have fun with other cause-driven professionals.

The African American Resource Network aims to support and address the need for leadership development and professional development for staff and volunteers that identify as African American and/or Black in the Y-Movement. We work to be a critical resource for information about what is and is not working in communities. These resources/tools will allow for staff to advance in their professional career, to share and leverage experiences to create community inside and outside the Y, and to increase engagement through coaching, mentorship, and networking.
