YOUTH DANCE CLASSES
Creative Movement (Ages 3-5): A combination of tumbling and dance for boys and girls. Different dance steps may be used as well as cheerleading moves. Pink ballet shoes required.
Dance Explorations (Ages 3-5): A great first introduction to dance in a fun, safe environment where every child can have a positive experience. Participants will improve coordination and gross motor skills while learning in a structured social setting. NOTE: no recital/costume.
Tumbling Tots Gymnastics (Ages 3-5): Tumbling Tots is a beginner class designed to introduce children to movement and flexibility through progressive tumbling, balance, and other gymnastic activities. A fun and safe environment is emphasized where every child can have a positive experience.
Ballet (Ages 4-6 & 7-9): The most disciplined foundation for all dance forms concentrating on technical and linear development, proper alignment, turn-out, placement and coordination. A reinforced ballet vocabulary is also emphasized to all students involved in classical ballet training.
Acro (Ages 6-8): A combination of tumbling and jazz dance to music creating a unique variation of dance. Pink ballet shoes required.
Jazz Dance (Ages 6-8): A dynamic form of dance focusing on rhythm, expression and style. Forms and various styles of American dance are taught concentrating on coordination, isolated rhythmic movements and specific jazz technique. No shoes required.
Tap (Ages 6-8): A form of dance to music that uses different tap tones and dance steps to create a ehythmic sound. Black tap shoes required.
Hip Hop Dance (Ages 8+): A form of fast-paced dance combining strength, energy, rhythm and coordination with multiple funky, upbeat steps and jams. Black ballet shoes required.
ADULT DANCE CLASSES
Ballroom Dancing: Be a hit at your next dancing event! Discover new opportunities for fun as you develop your skills in social dancing. No previous experience is necessary. A partner is recommended. Students should wear comfortable shoes with leather or smooth soles, and rubber heels. You’ll focus on three dances each session, which includes but is not limited to: the fox trot, night club two step, salsa, swing dance and the waltz.
