Every February, we celebrate and amplify Black stories and voices during Black History Month. This month, we are lifting up our community with events like Spirit Week, We Wear Black, and hosting local Black-owned businesses in our branches.
SUPPORTING BLACK-OWNED BUSINESSES
Throughout the month, local Black-owned businesses will have tables in our branches where they will be showcasing their products. Show your support by stopping by and checking them out. Check back each week to see the most up-to-date schedule of who will be at each branch.

The last week of February, we're going out in style with Spirit Week. Every day will be themed, culminating with our We Wear Black celebration on Friday. Check out the schedule below and get ready to plan your outfits!
MONDAY
Theme: Young, Gifted, & Black
Wear something to rep your alma mater (or future college) or favorite HBCU.
TUESDAY
Theme: Shine Bright with Acceptance & Respect
Break out the sunglasses- neon is the name of the game on Tuesday. Dress in your favorite neon clothes.
WEDNESDAY
Theme: Wakanda Wednesday
Bring out your inner Black Panther on Wednesday. Wear something inspired by the Marvel superhero.
THURSDAY
Theme: Throwback Thursday
Get your boombox ready, it's time for a throwback. On Thursday, wear your favorite 90s attire.
FRIDAY
Theme: We Wear Black
Join Ys across the country as we celebrate and uplift Black voices and show our commitment to being a multicultural, anti-racist organization. Wear black to signify your commitment and solidarity.
