We’d like to welcome Julie Mann as the next Board Chair and Chief Volunteer Officer for the YMCA of Central New York, following her election earlier this month at our Annual Meeting!
Julie has over twenty years of experience across global organizations such as GE, McKesson Corporation, and UnitedHealth Group, as well as local Syracuse enterprises like Medical Management Resources, Inc. and the Syracuse Crunch.
Her executive roles have spanned from Chief Commercial Officer in healthcare information technology startups to her current position as a Senior Principal, Customer Success Executive at Microsoft, where she manages the company’s most strategic health and life sciences accounts.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Julie has been an active member of the YMCA of Central New York since 2018, a journey that began with her daughters' enrollment in childcare services. Her dedication to the community and the YMCA's mission led to her appointment to the first Branch Advisory Board for the Southwest YMCA (on the campus of Onondaga Community College) in 2019 and subsequently an appointment to Branch Advisory Board Chair in 2021. This position granted her a seat on the YMCA of Central New York Association Board. Her contributions continued through her involvement in the CEO search committee in 2023, and in 2024, serving as Philanthropy Committee Vice Chair, Annual Campaign Vice Chair, and a member of the Strategic Planning Team. All her roles mirror her commitment to fostering growth and connection within the organization and Central New York.
A Syracuse native, Julie's roots run deep in the community, starting from her days at Westhill High School to earning her degree in Business Administration and Marketing at Le Moyne College. As a former member of the women’s soccer team, she has carried her team spirit into all aspects of her life. Julie now resides in Onondaga Hill with her husband, two daughters, and their dog, embracing an active lifestyle that often begins with early mornings at the Southwest YMCA.
