We’re thrilled to share that work has officially begun on replacing the stairs for our water slide at the Hal Welsh East Area Family Y! We learned last week that the construction company would be able to begin work immediately on our project. Here’s what that means for our members:
- Demolition of the existing stairs and railing began on February 25th.
- New stairs will be built and reassembled over the next four weeks.
- Once finished, the water slide will reopen for member use!
We can’t wait to welcome you back to the slide! Stay tuned for details on a grand re-opening celebration—more information to be announced once we are assured of a completion date for our project.
