A New Name, the Same Commitment to Quality Early Childhood Education

The YMCA of Central New York is proud to announce the rebranding of Sweetheart Daycare to the YMCA Early Learning Center. This change to the name of the center, located at the North Area Family YMCA in Liverpool, reflects a greater alignment with the Y’s mission to nurture the potential of every child, while reinforcing its commitment to providing high-quality early education and licensed care for families in our community.

“Our new name, YMCA Early Learning Center, better represents our focus on comprehensive child development and the core YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility,” said Amber Shannon, District Executive Director for the North Area Family branch of the YMCA of Central New York. “This rebrand highlights our dedication to creating a nurturing, inclusive, and supportive environment where children can thrive.”

While the name is new, the quality of care that families rely on remains the same. The rebrand emphasizes the center’s role in providing a strong foundation of learning for children, offering a variety of resources, programs, and connections to support families and children’s growth. Y Childcare programs utilize the Frog Street Curriculum, a comprehensive, dual-language curriculum is designed to meet the needs of diverse learners, while celebrating the joy of learning for each child.

“This new name reflects our focus on not just providing care but also fostering early learning opportunities that prepare children for a lifetime of success,” said Shannon.
