The YMCA of Central New York is launching its annual fundraising campaign to help ensure that everyone in the Central New York region has access to vital community programs and resources that support youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
The YMCA of Central New York’s Community Support Kickoff Event will take place on March 4, 2020 at 5:30pm at the Holiday Inn in Liverpool.
Every day, the YMCA of Central New York works to support the people and neighborhoods that need it most by addressing community issues, such as equitable access to health and well-being resources, achievement gaps, and prevention of chronic diseases.
“Throughout Central New York, countless people know and depend on the Y, but we’re so much more than many people realize,” said Mike Brown, President and CEO. “In addition to being the place children learn to swim or adults go for their daily workout, we’re also constantly evolving to respond to the needs of our community, with a greater focus on serving ALL to create a better us.”
This year, the YMCA of Central New York hopes to raise $805,000, which will support kids having safe places to learn and build confidence after school, families reconnecting and growing together, and providing more people access to education and training to reach their full potential.
