CAMP ON CAMPUS
Southwest YMCA Day Camp
Children will have the opportunity to have greater control over their camp schedules at Camp on Campus (formerly Camp Southwest). Each week, depending on age group, Campers will choose between a few options for their activity blocks. Options will include standard camp programming of arts and crafts, ecology, rec games.
Additionally, specialty options will be provided and will change week by week. These specialty options can include but won’t be limited to topics such as Coding for Kids, Cooking, Yoga, Tennis, Intro to RPG, and Gaming.
Camp on Campus will go off campus weekly for a field trip to one of our wonderful NYS Parks! While at these parks Campers will gain information on Safety around Water and be able to participate in other programming that will give them information about the wonderful world around them!
Counselor-In-Training (CIT) Program
New for 2024! The CIT Program is a chance for our older campers to learn what it takes to become a positive youth development role model. Teens will be part of a cohesive team which will be essential in the operation of camp and gain experience working with campers. Participants must commit to the entire eight-week program as well as one Saturday before camp begins for training. Scheduling conflicts and family vacations will be worked out on an individual basis. This program is for ages 15-17.
How To Register For Camp
What happened to College for Kids?
College for Kids will be offered as part of our normal camp program, where our older campers will be able to sign up for new classes each week and have complete control of their schedule. If you are interested in that type of programming, sign up for Camp on Campus.
