Students at McKinley-Brighton welcomed GRAMMY Award-nominee, Singer, Songwriter, and Producer Eric Roberson (ericrobersonmusic.com) for an afternoon of learning about music through songs, games, and fun around hearing notes, creating rhymes, and gaining confidence to share their voices. In one portion of the program, student Kyronn Shorter volunteered to read a poem written by one of our instructors, Ms. Cook, and Mr. Roberson then demonstrated how the poem could become a song, inviting the students to join in.
This afterschool program is part of the Arts Branch of the YMCA of Central New York's 21st Century Community Learning Centers Program.
